Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino recently confessed to what went on behind cameras while filming Jersey Shore during the early 2010s. Sorrentino is arguably the person that comes to mind when people think of MTV’s Jersey Shore. The reality show broke viewership records due to the cast member’s raunchiness and over-the-top personalities.
As a testament to his fame, Sorrentino’s picture is on Wikipedia’s definition of ‘Guido’. And the Italian-American jumped to fame during MTV’s Jersey Shore due to his ripped abs, aggressive personality, baroque fashion, and tough demeanor which now confesses was fueled by constant alcohol, drug abuse, and sexual encounters.
While being interviewed by the NY Post about his recently published Jersey Shore memoir Sorrentino claims that “It was a slow night [if I had] a threesome, usually when I was tired, but if I had my energy, which I usually did, it would be upwards of six to 10 women in the room naked, willing to do … I guess you can, you know, use your imagination.”
In the memoir called “Reality Check: Making the Best of The Situation” – How I Overcame Addiction, Loss, and Prison” he claims that “It was just sex, drugs and rock and roll, every day, all the time, men wanted to be [‘Jersey Shore’ stars’] best friends, and women wanted to sleep with us.”
Sorrentino became addicted to the prescription painkiller Roxicet
“At my worst, I was at 10 Roxys three times a day,” he elaborated “Now you need to know what a Roxy is. A Roxy is [equivalent to] a 30 milligram Percocet. So if you’re taking 30 of those a day, I believe that’s 90 Percocet 10s you’re taking per day – which probably could kill an elephant.”
