News anchor Erica Simon has had enough of viewers weighing in with their opinions about her pregnant body.
The ABC 13 Houston star, 38, took to social media to post a “friendly PSA” to viewers as she enters her third trimester.
“No, I’m not about to pop, deliver tomorrow, or am having twins,” Simon penned on Facebook earlier this week.
“I’m petite with a small torso, so no matter the size of the baby, I’m going to present startlingly big in the tummy,” she explained.
The Dallas native went on to note that some fans made her “feel very self-conscious and bad” several years ago while she was pregnant with her daughter, Ella,
“I will keep you updated on major developments like I always do, so no need to bombard me with pregnancy opinions, or how you think I look,” Simon continued, adding that her next baby is due in February.
“I just don’t think people are thinking about how their comments or questions would make me feel at a vulnerable, special time,” she said.
Fans flooded the post with words of love and support, and several other news anchors chimed in.
“I hate that you even had to say anything about this. Keep glowing and we’ll be praying for a delivery in February,” Mya Caleb from KFDM in Beaumont, Texas wrote.
Arianna Poindexter from Action News 5 in Memphis, Tenn interjected: “People don’t understand how hard being pregnant on TV is.”
Simon previously had to clap back at critics for trolling her weight when she was pregnant with her first child.
She welcomed her first baby in 2019 with her husband, Theodore, and announced she’s having another little bundle of joy this past August.
The University of Missouri graduate told viewers to “chill” after they told her that she was too overweight during her pregnancy, according to the Chron.
