Josie Gibson facing Bushtucker Trial alongside new star

TV presenter Josie Gibson will face an I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Bushtucker Trial tonight alongside an unexpected companion tonight following a surprise early exit. The Bristol-born This Morning host appeared a little more than surprised when Ant and Dec dropped by the camp to tell the campmates who had been chosen for tonight’s trial, Down the Tubes.

Josie previously took part in a Home v Away challenge with Marvin Humes on the ITV show, in which the pair shared some racy banter against Jamie Lynn Spears and Danielle Harold. But tonight’s show (Monday, November 27) will air her first true trial, as voted for by the viewers at home.

The 38-year-old was due to complete the challenge with food critic Grace Dent. But, in a shock announcement this morning, Grace has left the show for “medical reasons”.

An ITV spokesperson said: “Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.”

Her new trial companion will be EastEnders actress Danielle Harold, Good Morning Britain revealed. The trial will air on ITV at 9pm tonight.

As presenter Dec announced Josie’s name while revealing who would be doing the trial, she quickly responded: “What? Me?” Her eyes grew wide as she shaked her head at the thought it might her her, saying: “No!”

During the previous Home v Away game ‘Power Shower’ which she did, Josie and her teammate Marvin were left in stitches over the innuendo of what they were saying mid-challenge, the Mirror reports. Jamie Lynn read the instructions, saying: “Welcome to the second playoff, Power Shower.

“One of you will operate the Power Shower, while the other will wear a giant sponge ball. Working together, your job is to soak up as much liquid from the shower and then squeeze it into the drain in front of you. You will win three points for every litre you collect.”

Josie then joked: “If there’s one thing I can do, it’s drain the life out of things.”

As Josie took on the job of being the sponge, she laid on the drain’s grate and yelled: “Marv, jump on me.” Marvin laughed: “It’s been a long time since someone other than Rochelle’s asked me to jump on…”

Josie responded: “Oh, sorry Rochelle! I wanted Marv to jump on because I wanted to get as much juice out as possible.”
