‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Tammy Slaton reacts to rumors that Amy Slaton is pregnant and her sister-in-law is dead

Tammy Slaton has responded to new rumors about her family.

The “1000-Lb. Sisters” star, 38, posted a video on TikTok Monday, addressing speculation that her sister Amy Slaton is pregnant with what would be her third child. Amy, 37, is already the mother to two sons, Gage Deon, 4, and Glenn Allen, 2. She shares the boys with her ex-husband, Michael Halterman, who filed for divorce in March 2023.

“I wish people would stop spreading rumors but I’m here to tell you, Amy is not pregnant,” Tammy said in her TikTok video.

The reality TV star also commented on another rumor spreading online that her sister-in-law Brittany died.

“[Brittany] did not pass away,” Tammy added.

Brittany is married to Tammy’s brother, Chris, and has appeared on “1000-Lb. Sisters” with the family.

Fans of the TLC personality applauded Tammy for squashing the rumors.

Tammy has responded to speculation about her family and online criticism before. In January, she clapped back at one online critic who told her to “fix them teeth” while also addressing countless other comments that have been made about her appearance.

“With all due respect, I wish people like you would stop commenting crap like this,” she told viewers. “It’s not helping my confidence. I was trying to keep my confidence boosted and seeing comments about my chin or my teeth doesn’t help.”

Tammy added that dental work is expensive, and she cannot save enough money for a procedure.

“I had to calm myself down before I replied because I really wanted to go off on you. I really wanted to tell you if you had a true problem with my teeth then pay for them yourself,” she said. “But I don’t want to be that person. I don’t want to be rude.”

“I’m trying to better my life and better myself. We should be lifting up people. It doesn’t matter if I’m missing teeth,” she went on. “It’s sad. Why hate? Why can’t you just appreciate the hard work I’ve put in. Why can’t you just appreciate that I’m still alive. Yes, I have flaws. I’m human… But I’m not gonna let you or anyone else ruin my day.”

In another TikTok video posted at the time, Tammy shared how proud she was that she lost 440 lbs. The reality star underwent bariatric surgery in July 2022 and, as of January, weighed 285 lbs., down from 725 lbs.

Aside from the weight loss, Tammy’s surgery had other benefits.

“I kinda wanted to talk about my hair actually. If yall have been watching, in the fourth season episode 3 you’ll see in the beginning I had red curly hair,” Amy said in a video, responding to a commenter who complimented her hair. “That was this past February and since then, my hair has actually grown in so much,” she added, smiling.

“So the surgery has actually done wonderful for my hair and for my body and for my health. And for my everything! “I’m proud of myself, I’m proud of my hair….it’s a work in progress.”
