BFFS Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber Nail Their “Simple Life” Costumes

Couples costumes? Out. Doing cheeky pop culture references with your Hollywood bestie? In.

Throughout the last couple of years, celebrities have gotten increasingly more serious about their Halloween looks, recruiting whole beauty teams and staging photoshoots to show off their fits (just check out our roundup of the best celebrity costumes of 2024 if you need proof). And one of the best efforts this year had to go to BFFs Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner, who recreated the iconic poster from season one of The Simple Life.

In the original shoot, costars and best friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie put their own sexy, 21st-century spin on Grant Wood’s famous “American Gothic” painting, which Bieber and Jenner just perfectly recreated.

Jenner filled the part of Hilton, sporting a denim blue corset top and pleated miniskirt, plus a matching chocker featuring a giant red rosette to round things out. In her arms, she held her pooch, just like Hilton originally held up her Chihuahua, Tinkerbell.

Bieber, meanwhile, took the role of Richie, slipping into a pair of denim overalls, with one strap left unbuckled to reveal a bright pink bra underneath. When she shared their costumes to her Instagram Story, the Rhode founder wrote, “Happy Halloween from Paris and Nicole.”

This coordinated costume couldn’t have been more timely, given that Hilton and Richie will be returning to our screens this coming December. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their culture-shifting reality show, the dynamic duo are starring in a new reunion series, titled Paris & Nicole: The Encore, a three-part special that will be arriving to Peacock on December 13. I can guess at least two stars who will be tuning in.
