Actor Mayim Bialik from ‘The Big Bang Theory’ said it “was an absolute dream come true” when talking about her experience working with Newhart. “Bob’s Professor Proton was inspiring to Sheldon, and his career as an actor was inspiring to me. He was loved and will be missed,” said Iain Armitage from ‘Young Sheldon.’ Kaley Cuoco honored the actor on her Instagram story, writing, “what a dream to witness the genius that was Bob Newhart.” Kunal Nayyar, who played Rajesh on ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ posted a tribute on his Instagram story, writing, “Professor Proton. Our dearest Bob Newhart. RIP.
