Celebrity couples were some of the best-dressed stars of the 2024 Met Gala.
Hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, the annual fundraising ball welcomed guests to view the latest Costume Institute exhibit, titled “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”
Actors, athletes, billionaires, and more were in attendance, all wearing stunning fashion that mirrored “The Garden of Time” dress code.
But Hollywood partners like Rita Ora and Taika Waititi and business power duos like Leonardo Del Vecchio and Jessica Serfaty Michel stood out the most.
Here’s a look at what they wore and some of the other best couple outfits of the night.
Matt Damon and Luciana Damon kept things simple and chic.
While Matt Damon sported a black Dior tuxedo, his wife, Luciana, stunned in a white gown from the brand’s spring/summer 2022 collection.
It was strapless and floor-length, with a textured top that matched its thick neckpiece.
Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio and Jessica Serfaty Michel brought color to the red carpet.
Del Vecchio, the billionaire heir of Ray-Ban, walked the carpet in a burnt-orange suit that complemented Michel’s floral cape.
She wore the embellished piece over a hot-pink gown that matched her elbow-length gloves.
Rita Ora and Taika Waititi both took daring approaches to their Met Gala looks.
Ora wore a barely-there dress designed by Marni. It was entirely sheer but draped with strings of earth-toned beads across the front and back.
Waititi, on the other hand, wore a suit, tie, gloves, and dress shoes all crafted from the same brown leather.
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade were one of the night’s best-dressed couples.
Union looked like a mermaid in her ombré gown by Michael Kors. Its silver sparkles up top blended into green ones in the middle, leading to blue sequins across its skirt. The five different colors of sequins took 12 artisans 9,500 hours to hand-embroider.
To complement her colorful look, Wade sported a purple suit and white undershirt. He also wore a bejeweled chain across one shoulder.
Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger and Tommy Hilfiger looked like they stepped out of a fairytale.
The famed fashion designer kept things classic in navy trousers, a red blazer, and a white button-up shirt.
But Dee, his wife and fellow fashion designer, could have been mistaken for a princess in her tan, floral-print gown that featured a sleeveless bodice and plunging V-neckline.
It was stunning on its own, but she also wore a matching cape that gave the look a whimsical edge.
Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth coordinated in tan and gold.
Tom Ford designed Hemsworth’s suit, which he wore with a vest and unbuttoned satin shirt underneath.
Pataky stood beside him in a glimmering gown that had long sleeves, a mock neckline, and a floor-length skirt. She completed her look with gold bangles and a matching crown.
Dove Cameron and Damiano David made their Met Gala debut in edgy ensembles.
The couple wore Diesel, with David sporting a see-through suit and Cameron in a sheer gown.
Her pink dress flowed into a long train behind her, and each long sleeve had cape-style pieces that moved with her.
