BLACKPINK Tops Forbes Korea 2024 Power Celebrities Top 40 List; NewJeans, BTS Jimin And Jungkook In Top 10

The popularity of Kpop has skyrocketed around the world over the years. Forbes has recently released the list of Power Celebrity Top 40 in 2024 and several Kpop stars and groups have been included in the list. Girl group Blackpink has topped the list and NewJeans is also included in the top three. BTS member Jimin is at the 7th rank, whereas, the youngest BTS member Jungkook is at the 9th position.

Fans have expressed their happiness over their favourite Kpop idols getting included in the list. Take a look at how fans reacted:

On the work front, Blackpink members are currently focusing on their solo careers. Jennie has teamed up with Zico for the song ‘Spot’, which has become a hit. She has also launched her solo label ‘ODD ATELIER’ but decided to stay associated with her agency YG Entertainment. Lisa will soon make her acting debut in the series ‘The White Lotus’.

BTS member Jimin recently released his new single ‘Closer Than This’. Announcing the news, BigHit Music said in a statement, “Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are excited to announce the release of BTS member Jimin’s digital single, Closer Than This. Closer Than This is a heartfelt fan song that encapsulates Jimin’s genuine feelings for ARMY. As we approach the final days of 2023, we hope that Closer Than This, with its lyrics conveying Jimin’s love and affection for his fans, will bring you hope and warmth.”

He also teamed up with the Hollywood film ‘Fast X’ for the songs ‘Angel Pt.1’ and ‘Angel Pt. 2’. His other solo songs include OST for ‘Our Blues’, and his collaboration with BIGBANG’s Taeyang for the latter’s song ‘VIBE’.

Jungkook recently released the album ‘Golden’, which features 11 tracks including ‘Standing Next To You”Closer To You’, which will feature Jamaican-American DJ trio Major Lazer, among others. The other tracks are: ‘Yes or No’, ‘Please Don’t Change’, ‘Somebody’, ‘Shot Glass of Tears’, ‘Hate You’ and ‘Too Sad to Dance’.
