Jenny McCarthy recalls ‘gross celebrities’ attending Playboy mansion parties calling it ‘Viagra central’

Former Playboy model Jenny McCarthy has spoken out about what the parties at Hugh Hefner’s mansion were like.

The 51-year-old had been working in a Polish grocery store for seven years before she ended up getting her big break with Playboy and going to the infamous mansion parties with some questionable celebrities.

Appearing on Monday’s episode (18 March) of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, McCarthy explained she was ‘asked to be a part’ of TV special Secrets of Playboy which first came out in 2022 which saw former so-called bunnies speak out about alleged abuse they suffered.

However, McCarthy said she ‘didn’t have that experience’ and so declined.

“We were at a different time I think,” she says, noting Hefner was also married at the time she ended up in the mansion, so she was there when ‘his kids were throwing bacon at [her] in high chairs’.

“It was like the perfect time,” she reflects, however, that certainly doesn’t mean the mansion was completely PG – particularly when it came to the parties McCarthy went to.

She continues: “Unfortunately […] for every 20 guys, there was, like, one girl. So, the guys were just in heaven.

“But also, the guys were, like, over 70 years old […] There was only hot women and the ugliest dudes […] They were really really old, it was like Viagra central.”

McCarthy’s sharing of her experiences closely echo those of Audra Lynn who told UNILAD she similarly experienced some ‘crazy’ parties where people would ‘have sex in the Grotto and the security would have to come and break it up’.

Hefner’s ex-girlfriend Holly Madison also spoke out about the mansion feeling ‘very cult-like’.

She told the Mirror: “We were given $1,000 a week as an allowance. You had a 9 o’clock curfew, you were encouraged to not have friends over. You weren’t really allowed to leave unless it was, like, a family holiday.”

Indeed, fellow former bunny Jenna Bentley added if women who lived at the mansion or in the ‘Bunny house’ next door broke curfew, they were threatened with ‘sleeping on the lawn’ and that none of the bunnies were allowed boyfriends either.

She claimed: “Even meeting boys was an immediate kick-out.”
