- Tyson Fury shared a photo with Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario at the boxing
- Multiple stars, including Patrice Evra and Alicia Keys, attended F1 qualifying
Sports stars and celebrities flocked to Saudi Arabia to soak up this weekend’s titanic boxing and Formula One action.
Tyson Fury shared a photo with Ronaldo Nazario in an ultimate crossover between Brazilian samba football and gut-busting boxing.
‘Just a couple of legends hanging out,’ he wrote on Instagram.
They were present bright and early ahead of Anthony Joshua’s blockbuster bust-up with Francis Ngannou in Riyadh.
In the end it was an easy win for Joshua, who knocked down the former UFC champion three times on his way to a second-round knockout.
Jose Mourinho was also spotted taking his seat among the crowd amid the undercard fights for the ‘Knockout Chaos’ card.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid manager was pictured in conversation with the chairman for the Saudi General Authority for Entertainment – no doubt a riveting discussion.
He also had a picture alongside Tyson Fury, uniting the worlds of football management and boxing.
Over at F1 qualifying, where Max Verstappen once again took pole position, Patrice Evra and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were among the football favourites seeking a thrill.
Evra is on something of a high-speed excursion at the moment, having taken in last week’s Bahrain GP with Neymar.
This week, he found himself in Red Bull’s garage as he watched Verstappen and Sergio Perez both make the top three in qualifying.
Gianluigi Buffon, the legendary Italian goalkeeper, gave a thumbs up to the camera and even presented Verstappen with his award for qualifying on pole position.
Not content to let football stars dominate the camera shots, Alicia Keys represented the music industry and met members of the Mercedes team.
