Megyn Kelly challenged CBS’s “60 Minutes” and its “dumb–s” correspondent Scott Pelley to a debate about woke indoctrination after his “dishonest and disgusting” interview with the co-founder of a group seeking to limit books with explicit content in public school libraries.
Kelly said Pelley “failed America’s children” by being “deceitful and dishonest” in his questioning of Tiffany Justice, co-founder of “Moms for Liberty,” a right-leaning group which is seeking to ban books with explicit sexual content from school libraries.
Justice criticized CBS, accusing the network of having “censored” her by selectively editing bits of her interview with Pelley, who aired a segment devoted to the decision by a school district in Beaufort, S.C. to ban books from its libraries.
“I’m ashamed of you, Scott Pelley. You’re disgusting,” Kelly said during Monday’s taping of the SiriusXM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show.”
During the interview, Pelley accused Justice and her “Moms for Liberty” co-founder, Tina Descovich, of “being evasive” when asked “which ideology school children in America were being indoctrinated with.”
In narrating the “60 Minutes” segment, Pelley said that Justice and Descovich “dodged” his questions by offering up “talking points.”
Justice told Pelley that parents were fearful that their children were being introduced to “books where sexual discussions are happening.”
“I saw exactly what you did to them,” Kelly said on Monday, directing her remarks at Pelley.
“These are moms who got off the couch to be activists to help their kids have treated them like they were terrorists.”
The former Fox News host said that Pelley’s treatment of the “Moms for Liberty” co-founders “was grossly dishonest and a journalistic disservice to your audience and to children.”
Kelly then noted that she removed her own children from New York City schools after they were given a lesson on a scholarly article “accusing white mothers of indoctrinating their children in black death.”
“Scott, you’re in New York, you dumb–s!” Kelly said. She then challenged the veteran “60 Minutes” correspondent to a debate.
“F–cking have me on, Scott Pelley. I dare you. Put me on,” she said. “I will go on CBS News, and you and I can have it out one on one.”
The Post has sought comment from CBS News.
Justice told Fox News that “60 Minutes” edited the interview in order to make her look bad.
“I think that 60 Minutes came in expecting us to be Looney Tunes,” Justice told Fox News.
“They wanted some ranting and raving lunatic who was, you know, just wanting to get rid of… teaching and learning in general,” Justice continued.
“And we sat down, and we wanted to have an honest conversation with them about the state of literacy in America.”
