Bad news for former NFL star O.J. Simpson, who was believed to have been placed in an hospice in recent weeks. He appeared in good spirits on a video through his social media accounts saying he wasn’t in a hospice. In fact, O.J. Simpson’s situation is much worse than just him being in an hospice. At 76 years old, it has been reported that ‘Juice’ has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. Local 10 News from Las Vegas were the ones who published the initial report of the news. Simpson’s nature of the illness hasn’t been disclosed yet but undergoing chemotherapy is always serious business. Right now, O.J. lives in Las Vegas but he had moved recently from South Florida.
O.J. Simpson has Super Bowl plans
In the video where he talks about the hospice rumors, O.J. Simpson claims he will have a ton of friends to watch the Super Bowl next Sunday. The O.J. Simpson trials were amongst the most culturally important events that took place during the ‘1990s and many legal aspects of them were continued until 2021. To those who dont’ remember, the NFL Hall of Famer became known as the ‘Tiral of the Century’ after being acquitted in 1995 for the double murder of ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. Despite much of the evidence leaving room for interpretation to what happened, Simpson was acquitted for one reason alone.
The legal ‘Dream Team’ that represented O.J. Simpson was led by the late Johnnie Cochran Jr. and F. Lee Bailey. But despite being acquitted, a separate case more than a decade later got him convincted by a jury in Las Vegas for a separate incident unrelated to the murders. He served nine years in a Nevada prison for armed robbery. That same man has been diagnosed with prostate cancer today and is undergoing chemotherapy. It remains unknown how advanced the cancer is.
