By WVUA 23 News Reporter Jaylen Baron

It was not a normal day for the City of Tuscaloosa, many were keeping up with Kendall Jenner, sister of Kim Kardashian.

The 28-year-old supermodel turned business owner promotes her tequila brand 818 across campuses in the United States. Jenner has recently visited the University of Georgia, Ohio State, Indiana University, Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and the University of Michigan.

” It was probably the most insane thing I have expressed at Alabama and that is saying a lot. I think its really not just for the University but for the City of Tuscaloosa,” says Jenner fan, Emma Mcgowin. “I think it really brings up the tourism like people are going to see this all over Tiktok and want to come here and want to visit here. Also it’s really good marketing for her in general and the bars.”

Innisfree and Houndstooth Sports Bar hosted the 818 events for students and fans had the opportunity to grab some merch, good cocktails, and the chance to be served by Jenner from behind the bar. The socialite and businesswoman found her claim to fame from the reality television show, Keeping up with the Kardashians, and is now one of the highest paid supermodels in the world.

“She did sign the hat which was a really cool moment. she went around the bar and signed a bunch of peoples that were like close to the front. like the doormen and some of her team were handing out the hats and i got one which was really cool,” says Senior UA student, Mackenzie Rock.

Jenner and her team had a packed house in both bars Tuesday afternoon and everyone was eager for some 818 tequila.
