‘Wheel of Fortune’ player denied win after mispronouncing word: ‘Pat Sajak was cold-blooded’

E-nun-ci-ate!

“Wheel of Fortune” contestant Shauna Williams is going viral for not pronouncing an answer correctly — even though she solved the puzzle correctly.

On Wednesday night’s episode, her incorrect diction cost her the win.

The category was “Same Letter” and the response was: “congenial company & clever conversation.”

“Congenial” was mispronounced and host Pat Sajak wasn’t happy to give her points.

“Uh, no,” the longtime emcee, 77, said when Williams uttered the phrase wrong.

Player Steve Sporre then said the reply correctly and scored the points.

Viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) to note their shock at the mistake.

“This is the equivalent of fumbling the ball out of the endzone,” one person wrote. “How did that ever happen? Wow,” another added.

Someone else wrote: “Pat Sajak was cold blooded here. ‘No!’” One fan agreed, penning: “Pat sajak hates his contestants.”

“Can’t lie I didn’t even know with that word was and prob would of pronounced it the same,” another added.

Sajak announced last June that he will be retiring from “Wheel” after more than 40 years on the air.

“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” he tweeted at the time. The game show is currently in its 41st turn and Sajak has been the host since 1981.

“It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)” he added.

Famed letter-turner Vanna White joined the show a year later.

Ryan Seacrest will be replacing Sajak after this year — and has no plans on slowing down himself.

“I’m beyond excited. I mean, Pat Sajak is a legend. No one can replace him,” Seacrest said on a recent interview with “Good Morning America.”

The TV personality continued: “Vanna White, she’s become a dear friend. I’m so much looking forward to being onstage with her. And I love the show and giving away cash and prizes every single night in America’s living rooms is the greatest job.”

Sajak’s replacement was revealed shortly after his own announcement after days of anticipation.

I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” Seacrest gushed in a statement at the time.
