Angelina Jolie could be set for her first official boyfriend since 2016 as she has been seen in the company of a British rapper called Akala, but who is he?
She has always been one of Hollywood’s muses, and Jolie has always been the center of attention wherever she goes. Since her breakup with Brad Pitt, a little less than a decade ago, many names have been attributed to her, but so far Jolie does not seem to have given love another chance… Until now.
The situation seems to have changed for Jolie, who in the past has been linked to celebrities such as The Weeknd, Paul Mescal and David Mayer de Rothschild and now, Oggy magazine has published exclusive images linking the actress with British rapper and poet Akala, stage name of James Kingslee McLean Daley.
He has been seen in the company of the actress on other occasions and in recent images you can see the two stars sharing a dinner in Milan, Italy, with the team of the film ‘Maria’. According to Oggy, the two arrived together at the restaurant and also left together for the hotel.
This is not the first time Akala and Jolie can be seen together, as just this May they traveled together to the island of Jamaica to attend the Calabash Literary Festival, as well as having shared time together in the past attending concerts such as the one held in 2021 by Mustafa Ahmed, whose stage name is Mustafa the Poet. However, neither has formally confirmed the relationship.
Why did Brangelina end?
Affectionately dubbed “Brangelina” by the press and fans, hope of a reconciliation between Jolie and Pitt seems to be off the cards as her ex-husband has recently been linked to a young woman of Spanish origin named Ines de Ramon.
They had a 12-year relationship between 2002 to 2016 and got married in 2014 after having six children together but their legal union would only last two years before Jolie called time on it, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
Fans wondered what happened but it seems as though it could be related to an incident on an aeroplane when Pitt was claimed to have physically and verbally abused her and her children on the flight in 2016.
