Lala Kent is sharing new details of her experience with Travis Kelce on the set of Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? — raving about what a gentleman he is.
“I had the luxury of being part of this show, and I was very, very nervous, because school was not a strong point,” Kent, 34, said on the Monday, November 4, episode of her “Give Them Lala” podcast.
On the day Kent filmed, the Vanderpump Rules star claimed that Taylor Swift paid a visit to her boyfriend’s trailer. “They were going to have lunch together,” Kent explained.
Kent subsequently recalled a moment when she and fellow celebrities were posing for a picture with Kelce, 35 — and noticed a “respectful” move he made.
“We take a group picture, and Travis — I’m next to him and I’m pregnant — I believe [he] had two girls on each of his sides. And when he put his arms around us, he did not touch,” Kent said. “Which I thought was very, very sweet.”
Kent gushed that Kelce was “absolutely hysterical, even without a teleprompter.” She added, “You can just tell when people are actually really fun and funny, and I think you can kind of tell in his relationship with T. Swift, like they just look like they’re having fun.”
Kent is not the only guest star to notice Swift’s presence on set. While recalling his time on the show, Run Funches exclusively told Us Weekly that there were rumors the Eras Tour performer was nearby.
“We may or may not have heard whispers that she came by,” Funches, 41, told Us. “I did not see her, but I did hear whispers.”
News broke in March that Kelce would be hosting the game show, with a source exclusively telling Us that the NFL star is “funny and has the wits for it.”
The series is the latest iteration of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, which ran from 2007 to 2019. The new show follows a similar format with a player answering questions but being provided with options, like cheating off a celebrity, if needed.
“I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” Kelce said in an April statement. “The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining.”
Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? is currently streaming on Prime Video. New episodes drop weekly.
