Beacon for Hope to be busy with Celebrities in Disguise, Rage Against the Stigma this weekend

A talent show helps to kick off a busy weekend for Beacon for Hope Suicide Prevention.

Celebrities in Disguise starts at 7 pm at the Emporia Granada Theatre. Six contentants will sing, and this event has a different flavor from the past — using team captains Tagan Trahoon and Verlin Conkle, both past captains, in much the same way as you would see on “The Voice.” Tickets are $10, either at the door or online through Eventbrite.

Coming Sunday is Rage Against the Stigma. Beacon Director Melissa Owen says Rage focuses on men’s mental wellness.

Rage Against the Stigma goes from 10 am to 2 pm at Peter Pan Park. More information is available at hopelinks.org.
