When doves cry.
Halle Berry revealed that Prince once asked her out at one of his concerts — and she turned the rock star down.
The Oscar-winning actress, 58, appeared on the Sept. 23 episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and revealed that she had a shot with Prince.
“Is it true that Michael Jackson asked Babyface to ask you to go on a date with him?” Kimmel asked.
Berry replied, “I don’t know. But I know Prince asked me out on a date.”
Prince died of an accidental drug overdose at age 57 in 2016. In her interview with Kimmel, Berry explained that she attended one of the “Purple Rain” icon’s concerts, where he “sort of” asked her out in person.
“I was at one of his concerts here on Sunset at the Key Club, and he had somebody come out with a piece of paper. And you know like kids do, you say, ‘Do you like me? Yes or no,’” she recalled.
“I went, yes! I mean, I’m at his concert, right? Yes! Came back out again: ‘Would you go out with me?’”
The “Die Another Day” actress did the unthinkable, revealing that she didn’t check a box that final time.
“No, I didn’t send the paper back. I kept the paper,” she shared.
Berry failed to give a reason why she didn’t send the paper back to the legendary performer.
This isn’t the first time the “X-Men” actress has talked about Prince.
Berry told Andscape in 2017 that she was a big fan of the rock star.
“My first concert was Prince,” she said. “That man, his music changed my childhood and my teenage years.
“He got me through some s–t. I was a huge, admiring fan of his, and I became a friend of his during his lifetime.”
In 2011, Prince presented Berry with an award at the NAACP Image Awards.
At the time, Berry hugged the musician and said in her speech, “As if this couldn’t be more amazing to win an Image Award, but to have it be handed to you by Prince. I’ve only loved him my whole life, so thank you, Prince.”
During her interview with Kimmel, Berry also shared her encounter with boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
When the talk show host asked Berry who she thought was the best fighter of all time, she replied, “When I was a kid, it was Muhammad Ali,” adding that she grew up with him. “But in my adult life, I would say it’s Mike Tyson.”
She added that she did meet Ali during his lifetime when she was 30, years before the boxing legend died at age 74 in 2016.
“I went up to him, and I was kind of nervous, because it’s Muhammad Ali!” she recalled.
“I went up to him and I said, ‘Oh my god, champ, it’s so nice to meet you.’ And he said, ‘I never met anybody prettier than me.’ I was like, ‘Is that a good thing?’”
Tyson, 58, was also visiting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” the same night, and Kimmel told Berry that his staffers overheard her discussing menopause with the fighter backstage.
“Can you imagine Mike Tyson saying ‘vagina’?” she said before confirming that they were indeed discussing that topic.
Berry said she talked to Tyson and his wife, Lakiha “Kiki” Spicer, and assured Kiki that she’d help her “when the time comes” because “I know everything about this topic … I want to be the voice of the future for these women and help them get the information that they need.”
Berry said that Tyson asked, “It doesn’t affect your sex, does it?” to which she replied, “Well, it can … but it doesn’t have to.”
Berry, who has been married three times — to former baseball player David Justice, to Grammy-nominated singer Eric Benét and to French actor Olivier Martinez — is currently dating musician Van Hunt, 54.
The “Monster’s Ball” actress told Marie Claire that her relationship with Hunt “was the first time I was madly in love before I had sex. That has never happened to me, ever … It took me a minute to get it right. But the nature of the way this happened, I have a real belief that this is it. This is my person.”
During her interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Berry also addressed the rumors that her “X-Men” character, Storm, was going to appear in “Deadpool & Wolverine” alongside Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds and a slew of other superhero stars such as Blade (Wesley Snipes).
“I heard that, too,” she said. “I was at a Michael Kors fashion show, and Blake [Lively], Ryan’s wife, asked me, ‘If Ryan asked you to be in “Deadpool,” would you?’ I said, ‘Well, duh.’ Yeah, of course, I would.”
She added: “But they never called me.”
