The US Open always attracts the biggest stars – on and off the court.
With the tournament approaching the business end of action, we look back at the week so far and highlight seven of the most famous faces spotted watching on in New York.
Seal
Some people might think you were ‘Crazy’ (see what we did there?) if you told them that music icon Seal was spotted in Jannik Sinner’s box at the US Open.
But that’s exactly what happened on Monday night, with the British star in the world No 1’s box for his straight-sets victory over Tommy Paul in the fourth round.
The legendary singer was also at Flushing Meadows earlier on during the fortnight and has made an appearance at the tournament countless times.
Anna Wintour
A long-time tennis fan, Vogue editor Wintour has long been a fixture at the biggest tennis events in the world.
She has appeared at Flushing Meadows several times this year and, with favourite player Roger Federer now retired, she appears to have picked a new star to root for.
Wintour was seen cheering on world No 5 Jasmine Paolini on Monday, supporting the Italian during her straight-sets loss to Karolina Muchova.
She was also back out on Court Louis Armstrong for Caroline Wozniacki’s match against Beatriz Haddad Maia later in the day.
Alicia Keys
Almost ‘No One’ would have predicted Keys to be among Grigor Dimitrov’s biggest supporters at the US Open this year.
But the Bulgarian had the backing of the Grammy award-winning singer during his fourth round clash against Andrey Rublev on Sunday.
Joining Serena Williams in the stands on Arthur Ashe, Keys was loudly cheering for the ninth seed – and maybe her support paid off, with Dimitrov prevailing in five sets.
US Open News
Novak Djokovic made one big mistake with Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner – and paid a heavy price
Ben Stiller
A long-time tennis fan, it is no surprise to see the Zoolander and Night at the Museum star watching this year.
Stiller and wife Christine Taylor – herself an actress – have been seen watching on at the US Open previously, as well as being pictured in the stands at Indian Wells.
The couple were courtside to watch Carlos Alcaraz and Jessica Pegula kickstart their campaigns on Day 2 of the tournament, while Stiller also came to the defence of Nick Kyrgios after criticism of his interviewing.
Kerry Washington
Best known for her roles in shows such as Scandal and Little Fires Everywhere, actress Washington was among the first stars spotted at the tournament last week.
She attended the opening night of the tournament alongside her mum, Valerie, having been invited to sit in the Ralph Lauren seat.
Lin-Manuel Miranda
A self-proclaimed US Open and tennis fan, actor and Broadway star Miranda is a frequent figure inside the Arthur Ashe Stadium – and that was no different this year.
He was seen enjoying action alongside 2003 champion and former world No 1 Andy Roddick during the opening week of the tournament.
Jon Rahm
Multiple major champions and former world No 1’s have been spotted around Flushing Meadows this year – and we’re not just talking about tennis.
A former Masters and US Open (in golf) champion, Spanish golfing great John Rahm took some time away from the course to take in a bit of tennis action during the opening day of the tournament.
The 29-year-old was courtside to see the likes of Novak Djokovic in action.
