Pie the Mayor (or other local celebrities) at First Step’s Texoma Gives Carnival

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — First Step has a new way of giving for those who want to add a little “fun” to fundraising.

On Thursday, September 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., they will host a carnival for this year’s Texoma Gives.

Along with face painting, bounce houses, Luna’s Ice Cream, and more, attendees can participate in a “Pie in the Face Fundraiser.” The local celebrities include Mayor Tim Short, District 4 Councilor Mike Battaligno, and KFDX’s own Jalen Wells and Ariel Reed.

All donations go directly to survivors of domestic abuse for anything they might need.

Camp Fire of North Texas will also be there to fundraise for their after-school program.

The Carnival will take place in the North parking lot at 624 Indiana Ave. There is no cost to enter the carnival, but some activities will cost.
