From P!nk to Kerry Washington: These celebrities made an appearance in Night 4 of the DNC

The 2024 Democratic National Convention came to a close on Thursday evening with Vice President Kamala Harris accepting her nomination and appearances by big name stars including D.L. Hughley and Pink.

Many celebrities showed their support throughout the convention, which started on Monday, including Lil Jon, country music star Mickey Guyton and Oprah.

Here are the celebrities that were appeared on the closing evening of the DNC:

The actor and comedian, D.L. Hughley, was at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday evening. During his appearance he criticized former president and GOP nominee Donald Trump for saying he did not realize that Vice President Kamala Harris is a Black woman.

“I guarantee you Kamala has been Black, a lot longer than Trump’s been a Republican,” Hughley said.

He also later apologized to Harris for mischaracterizing her record as a prosecutor before he did his research. “I believe that your apology should be as loud as your accusation, and I’m here apologizing in front of the whole damn world. I was wrong.”

Eva Longoria speaks during the final day of the Democratic National Convention at the United Center.

Longoria is all in on Kamala Harris. In her formal convention appearance following her Texas roll call, Longoria spoke on her upbringing, drawing comparisons between herself and Harris.

Longoria said that family helps Americans achieve their goals, knowing they would have to “touch every rung of the ladder to get ahead.”

She ended her time on stage by marking a new tagline for Harris’ campaign. She adjusted the Spanish phrase “Si se puede,” which means “Yes, we can,” to “She se puede.”

Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn

Olivia Pope (Washington) and President Fitzgerald (Goldwyn), the stars of the ABC television show “Scandal,” were both in Chicago in support of Vice President Kamala Harris.

The actress received a warm reception from the crowd as she took the stage to fire up Democrats.

“I am standing on this stage, but I am not the lead character in this story. You are,” she told the audience. “You are the fixers, dare I say it, you are the Olivia Popes. You are the superheroes saving this democracy.”

She then suggested the crowd take a video to convince their family and friends to vote. After requesting her own phone from backstage, Goldwyn brought it out to her, and the pair took their own video, leading the chant, “When we fight, we win.”

The “Little Fires Everywhere” star then promptly kicked Goldwyn off the stage: “You gotta go!”

Later in the night, Washington was joined by Harris’ grandnieces to teach the convention crowd how to pronounce the vice president’s name. “Confusion is understandable. Disrespect is not,” she said.

Goldwyn was also a speaker in the first night of the convention.

Pink performs with Stacy Campbell, Danielle Fleming, Nayanna Holley, and Willow Hart during the final day of the Democratic National Convention at the United Center.

Pink made the convention a mother-daughter outing, sharing the stage with her 13-year-old daughter Willow Sage Hart.

The pair were joined by three other singers and a guitar accompaniment as they performed an acoustic version of her 2017 single “What About Us.” Willow has made appearances throughout Pink’s world tour this past year.
