Kate Middleton attends Wimbledon with daughter Princess Charlotte amid cancer battle

Kate Middleton has made a grand return to Wimbledon!

The Princess of Wales, 42, made an appearance at this year’s Wimbledon tennis championships on Sunday as she continues to undergo cancer treatment.

Princess Catherine delighted fans as she arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club alongside her 9-year daughter, Princess Charlotte.

Her outing comes one month after she joined the royal family for King Charles’ birthday celebrations on the Buckingham Palace balcony at the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

While her brief return to the spotlight took a toll on her health, the beloved royal is seemingly not letting her illness get in the way of her love for tennis.

Last month, it was reported that the royal considered appearing at the annual tennis championships assuming her recovery remained on track.

In addition to being a patron, Middleton — an avid tennis fan in her own right — has made an effort to attend the tournament each year and is often spotted watching matches from the royal box on Centre Court.

Last month, the Chair of the All England Club — which hosts the annual grass court tournament — spoke out about speculation over Middleton’s attendance.

“Our priority is clearly that our Patron has the time to recover and we’re certainly not going to add any additional pressure on her recovery by speculating on her attendance at this year’s Championships,” Deborah Jevans said in a media briefing.

Addressing rumors on who will be presenting the trophies to the finalists on July 13 and 14, Jevans said that no decisions were made.

“And when it comes to the presentation ceremony, as in previous years, we will announce those that are going to be a part of that ceremony on the morning of the finals, so nothing has changed in that regard,” she shared.

Kensington Palace declined to comment.

Last year, the beloved royal joined forces with tennis legend Roger Federer to perform a ball girl task ahead of the championships.

The Princess engaged with the Wimbledon ball boys and girls, and even enjoyed a sparring session with the Swiss star — an eight-time champion of the tournament.

As Middleton shows her support for the annual championships, her husband Prince William is expected to head to Berlin, Germany to cheer on the England Men’s soccer team as they take on Spain in the final of the 2024 UEFA European Football Championships Sunday.

The Prince of Wales, 42, is the president of the Football Association, soccer’s governing body in England, and an avid fan of the sport.

The future King is set to be joined by the UK’s new Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer.
