‘College Hill: Celebrity Edition’: Mid-Terms & Meltdowns

This week’s “College Hill: Celebrity Edition” episode brings midterm drama. With exams looming, the group heads to Mardi Gras with Dr. Sinegal-Decuir for an assignment at the Zulu parade. They must interview and photograph participants to learn about the parade’s history, facing the uncomfortable sight of white people in blackface, which shocks Karlous Miller but is culturally accepted there.

On the float, the crew, minus Saucy Santana, who stayed home, immerses themselves in the experience and better understands the culture. Karlous admits it wasn’t what he expected.

Back home, Saucy announces plans to meet his “tutor” again while the others prepare for their presentations. Things escalate when Saucy returns late at night, disturbing everyone with his loud behavior.

At school, finals start smoothly but heat up during a philosophy debate on happiness. The women oppose the men, and tensions rise when Claudia Jordan accuses Nick Young and Karlous of self-medicating for happiness. Nick retaliates by calling Claudia a colorist, leading to an emotional fallout. Claudia tearfully explains the hurt from past accusations, and Nick admits he used it to wound her.

Despite the tension, they reconcile as usual, but Saucy’s antics leave him on thin ice. The final midterm hurdle is presenting the homeless bill to a congressman in political science, with Saucy surprisingly present. Will they succeed? Find out next week.
