Papa Salt Gin By Margot Robbie
It would be positively un-Australian not to include Margot Robbie on this list. The Gold Coast local (turned Hollywood royalty) developed her gin concoction, Papa Salt Gin, in partnership with her husband, Tom Ackerley, and their film industry friends Josey McNamara, Regan Riskas and Charlie Maas. Championing Australian botanicals and oyster shell (for minerality) this savoury and refreshing gin goes well with just about every mixer.
818 Tequila By Kendall Jenner
When Kendall Jenner launched 818 Tequila back in 2021, it quickly became one of the Kar-Jenner family’s most successful business ventures. So why does everyone love it? In addition to impossibly chic branding and a killer marketing strategy, according to Kendall, it’s all thanks to the ingredients. Per the 818 website, her tequila utilities hand-picked Blue Weber agave, which is slow-cooked for at least 30 hours, before being crushed, extracted, fermented, distilled and, finally, enjoyed.
Casamigos Anejo By George Clooney and Rande Gerber
Casamigos Anejo might technically be a celebrity-owned brand, but these days its respected as a delicious tequila in its own right. Clooney and Gerber partnered with long-time friend Mike Meldman to design a tequila that could be enjoyed without being masked by lime or salt – and so Casamigos Anejo was born!
Teremana Tequila By Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has officially joined the alcohol business, with his premium, small-batch tequila, Teremana Tequila. After first launching back in 2020 to record-breaking success, Teremana has now made its way to Australian stores, and is available in local retailers from July, 2024.
Sprinter By Kylie Jenner
In 2024,Kylie Jenner followed in big sister Kendall’s footsteps when she founded Sprinter, a line of vodka seltzers.
“Sprinter is my answer to the growing consumer demand for quality canned cocktails,” the youngest Jenner said of her newest venture. “We’re adding to a market dominated by only a few players with an incredibly delicious vodka soda in a can.”
And, like most things Kylie touches, Sprinter has already had mammoth success, with fans applauding its simple ingredient profile of premium vodka, sparkling water, and real fruit juice.
Armand de Brignac By Jay-Z
Jay Z’s champagne line has a seriously iconic origin story.
According to Forbes, in 2006, Frederic Rouzaud, the manager of Cristal Champagne, was asked his thoughts about the popularity of Cristal among rappers, to which he reportedly responded, “What can we do? We can’t forbid people from buying it.”
Many interpreted a degree of racism to this response – including Jay Z, who promptly called for a boycott of Cristal. But to fill the void, the rapper bought Armand de Brignac, the French Champagne company. And the rest, as they say, is history!
