Get ready to take some epic selfies because this upcoming new restaurant is guaranteeing that customers will dine right next to A-list stars every time they’re there.
Madame Tussauds is set to open its first restaurant on the roof of the famous wax museum on Aug. 2 where celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Zendaya and Scarlett Johansson and other stars will be there on a daily basis.
Well, at least their wax figure versions will be there.
“People are really going to get a chance to dine and drink with the stars,” said Jonathan Keyes, marketing coordinator for the Hollywood Rooftop Restaurant and Bar by Madame Tussauds.
“When you’re sitting at your table you’ll be able to say hi to Leo, who will be standing with a drink across from you,” he said.
When it opens the 220-seat outdoor restaurant will include wax figures of stars like DiCaprio, Zendaya, Johansson, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, and others, who will be placed in various places and positions around the restaurant.
“You’re going to be able to sit down with some of the stars, some of the stars will be standing up for some fun photo ops. It’s really going to immerse you into Hollywood glamor.
The new restaurant will be housed in a space that has been used for special events and will be decorated in Hollywood style with decor like movie reels and other memorabilia. The kitchen will be helmed by Chef Shirlie Belloso who is creating a menu that mixes international and American cuisine. Think of dishes like flatbreads, ahi tuna nachos, hamburgers, steaks and salmon plus cocktails.
The entrance to the restaurant will be through an elevator at the museum, however a ticket to the museum is not necessary to enter the new eatery.
“We want people to feel like they really got the true Hollywood experience where they got to meet some of their favorite celebs, they got a really fantastic meals and their Hollywood dreams were fulfilled,” Keyes said.
Hollywood Rooftop Restaurant and Bar by Madame Tussauds is at 6933 Hollywood Blvd., hollywoodrooftopbar.com.
