Austin Butler has become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, but he is just like all of us in that he still gets starstruck.

In fact, the 32-year-old The Bikeriders actor revealed a recent encounter where he was so shy that he actually went out of his way to avoid running into a fellow celebrity.

He spilled all the tea and even acknowledged that he himself was a huge star.

While on TODAY, Austin recalled seeing Ryan Gosling recently. However, they did not interact because the Elvis star hid himself.

“I was just telling this story yesterday about getting starstruck by Ryan Gosling recently,” he said, before explaining the unique situation that he was in: “It’s when you don’t expect to see somebody… So I saw him outside of a hotel that I was staying in, and I had to go into another door.”

He continued, saying, “I couldn’t say hello. I grew up admiring him so much.”

Austin was reminded that he is a fellow celebrity, but he has a hard time believing it, saying, “I know. But that doesn’t feel real.”
