Pomellato, the illustrious Milanese jewelry Maison, recently unveiled its new High Jewelry Collection, ‘The Dualism of Milan,’ at a spectacular Gala Dinner held at the historic Museo della Permanente in Milan. This new collection, featuring 51 meticulously handcrafted pieces, is a tribute to Milan’s unique juxtaposition of austere urbanity and boundless creativity.
Among the notable attendees was Hande Erçel, who recently came to our attention during the Cannes Film Festival.
At the Gala, she looked beautiful once again wearing an ombre Roberto Cavalli gown from the Spring 2024 collection, embodying the sultry elegance synonymous with the Italian label.
The black Gianvito Rossi sandals would not have been my first choice, but Hande’s exquisite dress, coupled with her immaculate hair, makeup, and Pomellato jewelry, ensured all eyes were on her.
Jodie Turner-Smith, known for her bold fashion choices, wore a Retrofête Lovette silk feather gown with a Laken corset. While her penchant for opulence was evident, the dress was disappointing for someone of her sartorial style, as I found this a little unflattering.
On the plus side, her face card never declines.
Amina Seck, however, understood the assignment wearing this strapless Versace black dress, as its structured banana-shaped bodice perfectly complementing her Pomellato necklace.
The simplicity of her dress allowed the jewelry to truly shine.
Lucy Hale’s amethyst and diamond Pomellato necklace was the star of the show here, but the velvet and lace detail on the bodice of her strapless Oscar de la Renta jumpsuit proved to be just as elegant.
Benedetta Porcaroli, in a Del Core Spring 2024 outfit, might have benefited from removing the floral accented corset-like detail.
However, this alteration could have detracted from the very essence of her look, despite the fit being somewhat off.
Janice Man wore a Cong Tri Spring 2024 gown with a pixel-pattern bodice that evoked a Tetris-like aesthetic.
The unique design added a playful touch to the look.
Carla Bruni and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, known for their timeless style, but opted for simple yet elegant dresses, allowing their Pomellato jewels to take center stage and amplify their inherent grace.
