The coolest thing any man can be is a good father. So, it was great to see so many celebrities who could have been doing a variety of things spending time with their children or highlighting other men who were doing so.
Father’s Day is often viewed as the unwanted stepchild in comparison to Mother’s Day; women get gifts, brunches, parties, and pampering while men get the bare minimum. However, this year, these men experienced anything but that. Photoshoots, laughter, balloons, trips, arts and crafts, and more were all dedicated to these dynamic dads.
Check out how celebrity fathers such as Drake and A$AP Rocky spent the holiday below.

A$AP Rocky
Image Credit: Arturo Holmes/Getty Images A$AP Rocky’s Father’s Day was also a work day, but he made it very special. His sons RZA and Riot joined him in a photoshoot for Bottega Veneta where they played with trucks, played piano, blew bubbles, and sported some luxurious threads. Their faces had genuine, palpable joy, and he echoed the visible sentiment in his written caption.
“THIS SPECIAL MOMENT CAPTURES THE VULNERABILITY, LOVE AND INTERACTION BETWEEN MY SONS AND I,” he wrote. “IM PROUD 2 BE THE MAN THEY CALL DADDA.” Rihanna, Pusha T, Metro Boomin, and several other celebrities jumped in the comments to salute the Harlem rapper and his young fashion killas.

Drake
Image Credit: Cole Burston/Getty Images Drake gathered three generations of men in the Graham family for Father’s Day this past weekend. His father Dennis Graham and son Adonis spent time with him on his new ranch in Texas. They showed off the horses, drove around in offroad vehicles, took selfies, and wore traditional cowboy attire.
“Three generations,” he wrote with a heart emoji in his Instagram caption. “Happy Fathers Day to the ones guiding their daughters and sons.” The 6 God shared more photos of his son on his Instagram story, including a polaroid photo with a message written at the bottom reading “Happy Father’s Day! We *heart* u.”

Will Smith
Image Credit: Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Will Smith spent his Father’s Day shouting out other people as opposed to posting himself and his kids. He began by posting DJ Skillspinz performing a mix of “Papa Don’t Take No Mess” and lines from The Cosby Show, Pursuit Of Happyness, and other classic Black shows and movies sprinkled in.
Next, the Bad Boys 4 actor reposted a father discussing his daughter winning four academic awards and how it made him emotional because he had never won any. He also posted a dad who, even on his special day, got a teddy bear and flowers for his daughter which caused her to give him a tearful hug.
If making people cry was Smith’s goal, he might have achieved it by sharing a screenshot of his iconic scene from The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air where he tells Uncle Phil “to hell with him!” directed at his absent father. And last, but certainly not least, the 55-year-old posted a hilarious video of a father catching a toy baseball straight to the private area courtesy of his homerun-swinging daughter.

50 Cent
Image Credit: Slaven Vlasic/Getty Images for STARZ 50 Cent is a businessman 24/7, so even though he spent time with his young son Sire Jackson, he blended their bonding into a video promoting his forthcoming Humor & Harmony Weekend in August. They traveled throughout Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Las Vegas doing different shows and promoting the wild weekend. It is possible that he and Sire did more intimate father-son activity, but all we see in this video is the G-Unit leader being his usual marketing genius self.

Nick Cannon
Image Credit: Michael Tullberg/Getty Images Nick Cannon’s large family is often a source of jokes, but his love for his loved ones is no laughing matter. The actor started the day on set with his father before having a nice brunch with Bre Tiesi and his son, where they also did some arts and crafts. From there, he had to head to work but got a visit from Halo, another one of his children.
One of the major highlights of the day was his son Roc taking photos of him sleeping and having African dancers hold them in the air while performing a routine they posted on Instagram. Cannon was equally shocked and entertained by the action. As far as we saw via social media, he may not have made his rounds like on Easter, but it was a day of love and laughter for Nick Cannon.
