Celebrities at the 2024 Kering Women In Motion Awards

The 2024 Kering Women In Motion Awards and Cannes Film Festival Presidential Dinner took place on Sunday evening following a busy night on the red carpet.

We have been waiting for a wow moment from Diane Kruger, and it came in the form of this beautiful Balenciaga Fall 2024 Haute Couture look.

Both the colour and the futuristic structure of the blazer standout, that you are kind of accept the skirt.

I would have been interested how this would have worked either without the skirt or with a shorter shirt.

Eva Green went the androgynous chic route wearing a classic Saint Laurent suit.

But I was more enamoured by the super sleek tailoring of Édgar Ramírez’s Saint Laurent suit. Or it could just be the red pocket square that is swaying me. 

I have a feeling that Margot Robbie may never wear the colour pink again, but Greta Gerwig embraced the colour that was associated with her billion dollar film, ‘Barbie’ wearing a custom Gucci feather accented gown.

The only time we saw Greta wearing pink during the press tour was that Valentino Pink PP suit, but this softer shade is divine on the director, who continues to have the most impressive jury member runs during Cannes Film Festival since Elle Fanning.

Isabelle Huppert wore her second Balenciaga look of the night wearing a long sleeve leather dress.

Julianne Moore’s 18k white gold, chrysoprase, emerald, and diamond Cartier Libre necklace prevented her Bottega Veneta look from going under the radar at this event.

From the colour alone, I’m sure you guessed that Lily Gladstone was wearing Gucci.  That and the fact that she has worn a lot of the label during this festival.

I’m glad to see that the statement earrings are back.

This is exactly how I expect the First Lady of Kering to dress for the occasion.

We usually get plenty of va va voom from Salma Hayek, so this shade of lavender was refreshing.

The colour of Uma Thurman’s Balenciaga pleated dress isn’t working for me.  I would almost prefer it if this was black.

Zoe Saldana and Saint Laurent are at a bit of a stand-off, and I can’t understand why it is not clicking.

Saint Laurent should be a good label for her, but so far, I’m underwhelmed.

At this point I’m going to blame what is being pulled for her, because there are plenty of minimalist pieces that should work for her style.

Anja Rubik does often give me a strong case of déjà vu, but that wasn’t the case in this beautiful lace Saint Laurent sheer dress.
