Absolute frenzy as global TV star pops up in small Aussie town

Leighton Meester has been spotted Down Under!

The Gossip Girl alum was seen at the Burleigh Pavilion on the Gold Coast by TikTok user Ilayda Ozcan.

Ozcan posted a video to TikTok explaining she and a friend were enjoying a night out in Burleigh when they spotted the star.

“So I went to the bouncer and I’m like, ‘is that her’,” they said in the video. “And they were like, ‘Yeah, go up to her.’

“They literally hyped us up,” the girls added, admitting Meester saw them staring and asked if they wanted a photo before they had the chance to approach her.

The Monte Carlo actress is reportedly in Australia to film her new Stan series, Good Cop/Bad Cop.

Other TikTok users noted they thought they had spotted Meester on the Gold Coast, with one commenting, “I sat across from her at Justin Lane last Saturday night. At first I wasn’t sure if it was her and now I’ve come across your video!!!!”
