Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty: A lost friendship gets a new beginning

Have you ever had an inseparable friend whom you believed would be in your life forever, and then suddenly, you stopped talking and couldn’t really remember why? That’s what happened to celebrity actresses Tori Spelling andShannen Doherty.

The former co-stars from the 90s TV hit show ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ had a small reunion this Monday on Doherty’s “Let’s Be Clear” podcast, a nostalgic encounter for many fans and followers, as well as for them.

Spelling admitted to being a “swayer,” and Doherty agreed. “You were always easily swayed, and it was very frustrating for me because I always used to tell you like, ‘Yeah, Tor, have an opinion.’ Like, you’re smart, you’re funny, you’re talented. I loved you and I respected you, and I wanted you to believe in yourself as much as I believed in you,” Shannen said.

A Toxic relationship added to the pressure

She added that she believes it was due to the relationship Tori was in at the time, and Spelling recalled her then-boyfriend to be “abusive” and “an addict.”

Shannen Doherty mentioned a trip in which they both traveled to Mexico with their respective boyfriends, and then she realized that she couldn’t stand watching her friend in that relationship because of what Spelling was going through.

That moment, alongside others that involved cast members, helped to drive both Tori and Shannen apart. Now, both TV stars are looking forward to writing a new chapter in their friendship by reminiscing about the good times and trying to create new memories, while they’ll never really know exactly what happened to cause their distancing back in the day.
