- Stephanie Matto, 32, shared her experience of dating a famous comedian
- They ‘dated’ over the course of a year after rekindling on a sugar daddy website
- She said they broke things off when she realized he was seeing other women
An ex-reality star has revealed the downside of dating the rich and famous – detailing an ‘awful experience’ she had with an unnamed HBO star.
Stephanie Matto, who is known for appearing on 90 Day Fiancé and its spin-offs, said she met the stand-up comedian, whom she doesn’t name in the clip, on Tinder.
‘I had an awful experience dating a celebrity,’ Connecticut native Stephanie, who has 71,600 followers on TikTok, began the video.
The 32-year-old former reality star said the rendezvous happened when she was 26 and living in Los Angeles. The content creator explained she had moved to the city hoping to become an actress, but had ended up working as an exotic dancer.
‘I was on Tinder at the time which is where I matched with this celebrity,’ the blonde bombshell, who has made a name for herself after selling farts in a jar for a massive profit and starting her own version of OnlyFans called Unfiltrd, shared.
‘This guy was really big – he had a hit show on HBO,’ she added, just giving the hint it was a ‘show about baseball.’
‘Not only did he have a hit show, but he played a character on that hit show that I was absolutely obsessed with,’ she went on.
Although admitting the man was not ‘conventionally’ attractive, the celebrity was very much her type.
‘He had a dad bod. he looks old and mature and goofy, which is totally my type,’ she admitted.
The pair had planned to go out on a date – at a comedy club where he would be performing.
Stephanie decided to bring one of her friends, saying the show was ‘very funny’ and went to a bar after to get a few drinks.
‘Eventually my friend leaves because she realizes she’s a third wheel,’ the creator recalled.
‘We ended up getting really, really tipsy, and actually at the end of the night, invited myself over to his house, which is where I stayed until 4 o’clock in the morning.’
Stephanie said the pair talked for the duration of the night, discussing an elaborate lie an ex-boyfriend had told her after he ghosted her.
Months go by after the date and she doesn’t hear from the celebrity, admitting she was a little disappointed as she was a big fan.
‘The date went pretty well, he was a little standoffish and awkward and weird, but I was down for that,’ the entrepreneur quipped.
Stephanie said things had started to slow down at the club she was dancing at, so she decided to put a profile on a sugar daddy dating website.
‘Literally days after I have my profile go up, I get a text message from none other than this celebrity,’ she shared.
‘He confesses to me that he found my profile on the sugar daddy dating website.
‘He seems so intrigued by the fact that I am on this page and he’s asking me questions like, “Do you like to use men for money?” [and], “Do you like to take advantage of unsuspecting men?”‘
Stephanie recounted the unnamed celebrity being ‘really into it.’
‘I feel like well maybe this is the key to his heart, like if I play long with this weird game that he likes maybe he’ll want to go out on another date,’ she added.
The creator said she immediately started ‘feeding into it,’ telling him she ‘loves’ taking money from men, and she has all these ‘simps’ following her around sending her money.
However, their flirting then took a ‘really weird turn.’
‘He asked me to be mean to him and to demand him to send me money on PayPal,’ she recalled, telling him to pay for her car payment, which was due.
‘I don’t know why but in my head… I thought this man was my soulmate.’
Stephanie and the comedian went on two more dates over the span of a year, and their dates involved him giving her money and her being mean to him.
He paid her, and their flirty pay-cycle continued until she brought up why he hadn’t asked her to be his girlfriend.
‘That’s when he tells me that this thing that’s going on between me and him is not special, [and] he’s actually doing it with three other girls,’ she said.
‘Basically after that I cut all ties and never talked to him again.’
After she shared the story, Stephanie’s followers immediately started guessing who it could be – however she has not spoken out to confirm the validity of any of the guesses.
Many suggested that she had been referring to the hit series Eastbound & Down, which ran from 2009 to 2013 and centers on a burned-out major league baseball player portrayed by Danny McBride.
‘Ken Marino or Danny McBride,’ one user guessed.
‘Kenny Powers,’ another one wrote.
‘The actor who played Stevie,’ was someone else’s guess, referencing the same show. ‘His character was a [glutton] for punishment so maybe in real life he is too.’
