YoungBoy Never Broke Again arrested in Utah on drug and weapon charges

YoungBoy Never Broke Again — previously known as NBA YoungBoy — has been arrested in Utah on drug, weapon and other charges after allegedly violating his house arrest.

Multiple agencies, including Homeland Security and the FBI, executed a search warrant Tuesday morning on the rapper’s home, a spokesperson for the Cache County Sheriff’s Office told The Post Wednesday. This search warrant is a piece of an ongoing investigation into criminal conduct.

The sheriff’s office will not release any further information as YoungBoy, 24, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, has shown a “pattern of unlawful activity.”

YoungBoy was taken into custody by the sheriff’s office Tuesday at 2:50 p.m, according to online police records. No bail was set.

He was arrested on six charges, including possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person and for a pattern of unlawful activity, which are both Class 2 felony charges.

Lesser charges include procuring or attempting to procure drug/prescription, identity fraud, forgery and possession of other controlled substances.

The Post has contacted reps for YoungBoy for comment.

The Louisiana native had been serving house arrest in Utah while awaiting trial in Baton Rouge for a felony gun charge in a federal weapons case. This case stems from a 2020 music video shoot in an abandoned lot where he allegedly possessed two guns as 16 people were arrested on drug and weapon charges.

He told Billboard in February 2023 that he’s planning on being officially baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after his ankle monitor is removed.

In 2022, the “Makes No Sense” rapper was found not guilty of “knowingly” possessing a firearm during a separate arrest from a 2021 incident in Los Angeles.
