Local celebrities serve tables for a good cause

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) — It was a night of delicious meals and tasty beverages at The Captain’s Table Tuesday night for their celebrity server dinner.

Local celebrities, including our very own Amy Hoyt, took orders and brought guests refreshments, all for a good cause.

The money raised from this event will benefit AOK for Bay. A faith-based program for adults with special needs.

Every tip they received tonight was donated to AOK.

We spoke with Madeline Whittle, AOK’s Executive Director, about how these donations will go back into the community.

“All money goes to support the mission of AOK, which is to be a light in the community,” Whittle said. “We give gifts to the pregnancy resource center, we set food bags to go out to the school kids on the weekends, we send cards to people who are homebound, and lots of other things.”
