LIVE PHOTOS: Korean celebrities, idols cast their votes on Election Day

Voting for the general election began at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, and celebrities are casting their votes and proudly posting about it on social media.

Many are careful, however, not to write or wear anything that could allude to any one political inclination.

This year, we are seeing especially measured posts. Some people are opting to post only black-and-white photos, and others, like Newjeans’ Minji, are using fictional characters or animals to indicate they voted, instead of using a photo of themselves.

The Korea JoongAng Daily will be posting live as local stars post their votes online.
