Millie Bobby Brown admitted she’s a “Karen” as she let the world in on a little secret.

Having lived in the limelight since she was a child, the 20-year-old actress said she uses a burner account to leave negative reviews for shops and hotels. The British-born star also explained that her affinity to pepper the internet with negative reviews comes from dealing with harsh criticism for the major part of her life.

The actress is now globally adored for her onscreen presence. But she has had to deal with her share of the critique that comes with being a celebrity right from her childhood. As an outcome of this, she said leaving negative reviews is her way of giving it “back to you sometimes.”

“Do you leave reviews?” she asked while speaking to hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware on the Table Manners podcast.

“No, but do you?” Jessie asked.

“I have a fake name,” Millie continued. “Because I think it’s important! Here’s the thing, my whole life is people criticizing me, so I’m going to give it back to you sometimes.”

The Damsel star shared a few instances where she’s left negative reviews under a fake name.

“Once, we were at a hotel, and the woman was pulling my fiancé aside, like: ‘We need to settle payment,’ or whatever, and I’m just like: ‘Yeah, we will, but at the end of our stay, like… We’re still staying here.’ And she was like: ‘Yeah, but you could settle it now,’ and I was like: ‘But I don’t want to.’” she said.

She then offered the review she left for the hotel: “I really think that you should encourage guests to complete [the] transaction of payment at the end of their stay.”

After living her whole life being criticized, the Damsel actress said leaving negative reviews is her way of giving it “back to you sometimes”

In another instance, Millie said she was at the store and had an encounter with an employee that pushed her to leave a negative review.

“The other day, I was walking in a store, and basically, this old lady came up to me and was like: ‘Do you know where the socks are?’ I think she thought I worked there. And I was like: ‘I don’t, but I’m going to help you,’” she said.

“So I went and found an employee,” she continued. “I said: ‘Excuse me, I need this pattern, but I need it in this size, can you help me?’ And she was so unhelpful! And I was like, ‘Please, this isn’t even for me,’ so I left a review. I did!”

“Millie, are you a Karen?” Jessie then asked.

“OK, I am a Karen. But, listen, I do think it’s important to know where you went wrong and there’s always room for improvement!” the actress shared.

People online appreciated the Enola Holmes actress for her honesty.

“She’s so real for this,” one person wrote on TikTok, while another added, “This is refreshing. We don’t get to see celebs being this authentic these days. Good for Millie.”

Another said, “That’s NOT a Karen! Being honest about service is fair. It’s when expectations are awful that you become a Karen.”

“I am a review leaver lover,” read another comment. “I am brutally honest but then I will also make sure I’ve added in a positive so they don’t think they are terrible. I do also leave very positive reviews for places I love.”

“More people should leave reviews!!! I love reviews!!” one said.
