Chris Brown Calls Out ‘Mainstream Media and Fake Celebrities,’ ‘You’ll Beg Forgiveness’

Chris Brown is tired of being portrayed in a negative light in the media, XXL reports.

Taking to his Instagram story on Saturday (March 9), Brown gave a piece of his mind to those he described as “mainstream media” and “fake celebrities.”

“I DONT WANT TO BE ACCEPTED FROM NONE OF THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA AND FAKE CELEBRITIES,” Brown wrote in all caps. “I AM KING IN MY OWN LANE YOUR FAVE AINT GOT S**T ON ME AND THEY KNOW IT.”

“AINT FINNA TAP DANCE FOR APPROVAL. YOU WILL BEG FORGIVENESS OF ME THAT I DO KNOW,” he added.

Brown’s latest remarks follow allegations he levied at the NBA in February accusing the league of disinviting him as a participant in the All-Star Celebrity Game. According to Brown, the NBA allegedly rescinded their invitation because of concerns from sponsors. He named Ruffles as one of those sponsors.

Telling his side of the story, Brown posted photos of the alleged email he received from the NBA.

“NBA All-Star 2024 Welcome x Chris Brown,” the post read. “We are thrilled that you will be part of the weekend!” read the first email, which requested a press-approved headshot and bio from Brown.”

“I was asked by the NBA to play in the all-star game this year! Only for them to call later and say they couldn’t do IT because of their sponsors, like RUFFLES,” Brown wrote on his Instagram Stories at the time. “At this point, I’m sick of people bothering me and I’m tired of living in the f—ing past.”

“I POSTED THE EMAILS SO YALL COULD SEE. The NBA still was tryna get me to come and sit courtside… NOT F—ING HAPPENING,” Brown continued.

A day after Brown posted the photos on his Instagram, Ruffles responded by releasing a statement saying they had no involvement in who would participate in the celebrity game.

“[Ruffles] [five blue emoji caps] I guess yall tryna save face now!” Brown wrote in another message. “STAND ON BUSINESS. Don’t try to make it look like I’m trippin. YOU AND THE NBA representatives know exactly what y’all are doin.”
