CBB fans emotional as ‘national treasure’ Sharon Osbourne leaves house

viewers said farewell to on Tuesday night after a short stint in the iconic house. The 71-year-old joined the show as a ‘celebrity lodger’ last Monday during the launch show.

However, after a little over a week, her time has come to an end, much to the dismay of viewers who want her to stay in the house. When it came time for her to say goodbye, Big Brother made her choose three people who had made a lasting impression on her.

Although she initially refused to say anyone, she ended up picking Nikita and Levi. Speaking about Nikita, she said: “He’s beautiful inside and outside.”

Whereas her reasons for Levi came down to a more personal matter. Before her exit, she said: “He’s got something I told you I’m looking for and he’s at peace with the world.

“He only wants good things and he’s just genuinely good, I really hope that his daughters call him because they don’t know what they’re missing, pick up the phone with your dad.”

It wasn’t long before viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Sharon leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house. @YourGirlSudanny said: “Don’t get why Sharon has to leave, she could’ve won with all the GOLD moments she’s given us.”

@AmyJoanne__ added: “Sharon is and always will be an absolute national treasure. She is lovely. I’m very emotional over her leaving right now.”

@SteveJHolloway commented: “I don’t want Sharon to leave. She’s been great.”

@southansangha tweeted: “Oh SHARON [sic] get her back in there I miss her already.”

With @brixnhx adding: “I’m done watching now that the only real celeb is out.”

A source close to the show told MailOnline that Sharon’s stay in the Big Brother house was never permanent.

They said: “She had made it clear from the beginning that she was only staying on the show for a short duration but she has certainly made a long-lasting impact.”

“As always, family comes first and Sharon needs to be back with her husband Ozzy but she will be missed by her housemates, especially as they say goodbye to another celebrity during tonight’s eviction.

Explaining her reason for her brief stint in the ITV show, Sharon revealed it would be too hard to stay away from her husband Ozzy Osbourne.

The 71-year-old explained she’s extremely close with her family and hasn’t gone for over a week without speaking to them.

So far in the show, fans have bid farewell to Gary Goldsmith after he became the first person to be evicted by the public.

However, this week viewers saw Lauren Simon become the second person to leave the Big Brother house.

Celebrity Big Brother continues weeknights on ITV from 9pm.
