Weezer announces 2024 tour with Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. Get tickets

We couldn’t believe it but somehow 30 years (!) have passed since Weezer dropped their critically-acclaimed debut “Blue Album.”

To celebrate the anniversary of the iconic record — technically titled “Weezer” — Rivers Cuomo and co. will take off on their 22-concert arena ‘Voyage to the Blue Planet Tour’ where they’ll play the 10-track album in its entirety.

“We also plan on playing all of your favorite Weezer songs, rarities and more,” the band shared on Instagram.

That includes a stop at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

They’ll be joined by fellow ’90s rockers Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. as well as Keanu Reeves’ band Dogstar (whom Weezer opened for at their very first show back in ’92) and other special guests on select dates.

For those who can’t wait to rock out to “Buddy Holly,” “The Sweater Song,” “My Name Is Jonas” and “Say It Ain’t So” live, tickets can be picked up as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, March 15, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

The Blue Album

On May 10, 1994, Weezer dropped “Weezer” aka The Blue Album.

Comprised of ten songs, the record quickly made an impression with its unabashed “geek rock.”

As a refresher, here’s the track list:

01.) “My Name Is Jonas”

02.) “No One Else”

03.) “The World Has Turned and Left Me Here”

04.) “Buddy Holly”

05.) “Undone – The Sweater Song”

06.) “Surf Wax America”

07.) “Say It Ain’t So”

08.) “In the Garage”

09.) “Holiday”

10.) “Only in Dreams”

You can listen to “Weezer” here.

Weezer special guests

1994-core rockers will kick things off for Weezer at all shows (along with a few unannounced acts).

To make sure you’re acquainted with their sounds, here’s each group’s most streamed song on Spotify.

Flaming Lips: “Do You Realize??”

Dinosaur Jr.: “Feel The Pain”

Dogstar: “Everything Turns Around”
