While Ryan sat in the crowd with his sister, Eva posted a photo where she appeared to be in his dressing room. “You took Ken all the way to the Oscar’s, RG. Now come home, we need to put the kids to bed,” she captioned the pic where she rocked his performance outfit.

Oscars producer Katy Mullan told IndieWire that the singer was more than welcome to join if she changed her mind. “Listen, we all love Taylor. She’s the best cheerleader you could ever possibly have in any audience, whether it’s the NFL or an award show, so if she wants to get on a plane and come to the Oscars, then we’ll hold a seat for her, 100 percent,” Katy said.

Studio Ghibli filmmakers Hayao Miyazaki and Toshio Suzuki won Best Animated Feature at this year’s Oscars, and according to a statement published in USA Today, they skipped the show this year because of their age.
“I am very appreciative that the work that was created after overcoming these difficulties has been seen by so many people around the world,” Kiyofumi Nakajima, chief operating officer for Studio Ghibli, said. “Both Hayao and I have aged considerably. I am grateful to receive such an honor at my age and taking this as a message to continue my work.”
