- Marilyn Monroe, Meghan Markle and Joan Collins all have lookalikes
Kate Moss’s doppelganger sparked confusion amongst catwalk fans on Monday at a Paris Fashion Week show but she is not the only celebrity lookalike.
The legendary British supermodel reportedly was not a fan of Denise Ohnona’s, who has made a career out of impersonating Kate, antics.
However, ‘Fake Moss’ Denise, 43, from Lancashire is not alone in the world of celebrity clones.
Those lucky enough to look like a well-known star may suddenly discover their similarities when they are stopped in the street by adoring fans.
Some keep their celebrity-like looks as a quirky fact of their existence.
Others have turned it to their advantage, becoming professional lookalikes in adverts, charity events and photoshoots.
But, can you tell the difference between a real celebrity and a fake?
ED SHEERAN
There is even an Ed Sheeran lookalike who takes bookings to pose as the singer and says he is mistaken from Ed almost every day.
Ty Jones, from Manchester, looks just like the ‘Perfect’ singer and is even the same height as the star.
He has Ed’s signature red hair and even wears glasses.
EMMA WATSON
Kari Lewis from Zionsville, Indiana, was first compared to actress Emma Watson in 2001, following the release of the first Harry Potter film.
MailOnline previously reported how Kari earns extra money by dressing up as Hermione Granger and Watson’s character Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Kari hadn’t even seen the well-known fantasy franchise when she was first compared to the actress.
MARILYN MONROE
Jasmine Chiswell from Lanarkshire, Scotland, is a dead-ringer for the Some Like It Hot star Marilyn Munroe.
She styles her hair just like the American model in big, blonde waves and even wears matching iconic red lip.
In 2020, she posted a video tour on TikTok of her house in LA where Marilyn allegedly lived in the 1950s.
RHIANNA
Yna Sertalf, who originates from Martinique in the West Indies, but lives in France, realised she looked like Rhianna after her uncle pointed out her likeness to the beauty when she was just a teenager.
The resemblance is so striking her mum once mistook a photo of the Barbadian singer on a magazine cover for her daughter.
She previously said: ‘When little kids scream at their parents, ‘It’s Rihanna’, it’s lovely. Sometimes even if we tell them I’m not her, they think we’re lying.
DANIEL CRAIG
The name’s Bond… or Jason Kent for the Daniel Craig lookalike from the Cotswolds.
Jason is repeatedly stopped in the streets by 007 fans and MailOnline previously reported how he works as a supporting artist for TV and film.
He has even starred alongside Kate Moss clone Denise in charity events and photoshoots.
TAYLOR SWIFT
Ashley Leechin from Nashville, Tennessee, first became a fan of Taylor Swift in 2006 following the release of her single ‘Tim McGraw’.
Now, she is regularly mistaken for the singer on social media and even sports Taylor Swift’s iconic fringe and red lip.
She joined TikTok in 2020 and speaking to the Rolling Stone, says her videos were quickly inundated with comments from viewers comparing her to Taylor.
MEGHAN MARKLE
Sarah Mhlanga, a mother-of-two and actress, was also one of the leading Meghan Markle lookalikes in the country, and made up to £400 per appearance.
She started out as Meghan’s doppelganger in August 2017, after a cashier at IKEA remarked on their resemblance.
Sarah, from Chesire, has also appeared in the media on a number of occasions in the past, including giving interviews to This Morning and the Mail on Sunday, and even once appeared on TOWIE.
PRINCE HARRY
Another royal lookalike, Rhys Whittock from north Kent, signed with an agency to kick-off his doppelganger career in 2017.
MailOnline previously reported how he often makes ‘four-figures’ a day, despite ‘Megxit’.
Rhys spent years being stopped in the street and told he looked like Harry before eventually signing with an agency.
He can now make upwards of £1,000 in a single day in the role.
JOAN COLLINS
Joan Collins lookalike Barbara Angela Kealy has travelled and worked around Europe all because she resembles the Golden Globe Award actress and author.
She previously told MailOnline how she was once stopped by dozens of Japanese tourists at Brighton train station who thought she was the real thing.
The doppelganger has even written a book based on her work called Double Deception.
ANTHONY JOSHUA
Iffy Onwuachu, from London, was first told he looked like boxer Anthony Joshua in 2016 – when he won the British and Commonwealth titles.
Since becoming a lookalike, Iffy claims to have received a lot more female attention and has even been asked for pictures with people thinking he is the real deal.
