Team Biden looks to press celebrity advantage

President Biden’s campaign is hiring a “Director of Celebrity Outreach” tasked with tapping into the strong support he has from some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry.

Mr. Biden hopes to build on the success he had in the 2020 election when he won over the likes of Taylor Swift, George Clooney and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

“The Biden For President campaign is seeking a Director of Celebrity Outreach to oversee the strategic integration of celebrities, artists and community influencers across campaign operations,” the job advertisement says.

The responsibilities include managing “relationships with celebrities, talent, agents, managers and publicists.” The gig pays upward of $120,000.

Mr. Biden is going to need all the help he can get, according to polls that show him locked in a dogfight with former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical rematch.

Mr. Biden’s celebrity support has generated some conspiracy theories, including, most recently, the idea Ms. Swift is part of a clandestine effort to keep Mr. Biden in The White House.

Mr. Trump, the former host of The Apprentice, also has had well-known celebrities in his corner.

Roseanne Barr, James Woods, Jon Voight, and Kid Rock are among the entertainment stars who have sung the former president’s praises.
