Celebrities at the 2024 BAFTAs

Here is a roundup from the 2024 BAFTAs which took place in London on Sunday.

I really wanted to like this Loewe strapless dress, but I feel this dress would’ve worked better for Alison Oliver without the fringe detail.

While I do love Bryce Dallas Howard’s cut-out New Arrivals by İlkyaz Özel silver sequin dress, I wish it was floor length.

I can’t get past the hooves.

Charithra Chandran brought some colour and flair to the event wearing a Sabina Bilenko Spring 2024 Couture dress.

Considering her style is very understated, this was a leap outside her comfort-zone.

Claire Foy wore a beautiful Armani Privé Spring 2024 nude lace, crystal floral embroidery gown accented by a beaded fringe bodice which she styled with Cartier jewels.

I don’t know why I’m feeling a strong case of déjà vu here.

Daisy Edgar-Jones and Gucci have struck a rich vein of form since Sabato De Sarno took over.

I know some will say that Gucci should have been given to Dua Lipa for the Grammys, but I love modern vibe for Daisy, and the rich Gucci Rosso hue feels so luxurious here.

Giorgio Armani is having a moment with red flowers of late.

Every time Hannah Waddingham steps onto the red carpet I long for her lockdown awards season style.

Her remote style back then was so modern.  This Oscar de la Renta dress is another look that felt kinda dated for her.

As much as I love Ahluwalia’s designs, India Amarteifio was not the person to sell this Spring 2024 dress to me.

I’m not ready for India’s sheer era.

Seeing Vivienne Westwood gowns more frequently on the red carpet is not dulling my enthusiasm for these corseted designs.

Kaya Scodelario looked stunning in this white and silver gown.

Am I the only one who is seeing Lashana Lynch in an embellished Prada cardigan and wondering, “why do I like this better than most looks from her ‘One Love’ promo tour?”

Marisa Abela looked ever so elegant in this Fendi Fall 2023 Couture gown.  I love the semi-sheer nature of the skirt.

Who knew Giorgio Armani could create such a sultry design?

Meg Bellamy’s custom Armani Privé gown featuring a dramatic leg slit and silver crystal-embroidered crinoline rope knotted at the neckline was one of my favourites of the night.

Mia McKenna-Bruce lit up the red carpet like a midnight sky wearing a Carolina Herrera strapless gown with Cartier jewellery.

Morfydd Clark in red Emilia Wickstead?  I thought the actress only wore black.

When it comes to Naomi Campbell’s look, there is a big disconnect from this Little Bo Peep inspired Chanel Fall 2023 Haute Couture look and her heavy makeup.

I don’t like anything about this.  It makes no sense to me.

Phoebe Dynevor is another one who tends to wear a lot of dark colours who opted to come into the light wearing a custom Louis Vuitton white backless gown styled with Louis Vuitton High Jewelry.

I love the style and silhouette of Rosamund Pike’s Dior gown, but I’m not sold on the colour.

I’m a big fan of Sabrina Elba’s style but I wasn’t sold of the fit of this Ashi Studio Spring 2024 Haute Couture dress on her.

Sheila Atim opted for a dazzling silhouette and dazzling embellishments in Gucci.

Sophie Wilde, who was nominated for BAFTA rising star award, wore a sultry custom Loewe sheer crepe dress featuring a satin duchess bra and basque.
