The story of Allie and Noah lives on.
Broadway’s newest musical, “The Notebook” featuring music and lyrics from Ingrid Michaelson, just began previews at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 10.
Starring Joy Woods and Ryan Vasquez in the lead roles, the pair will inhabit the parts that made Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling household names after the release of the 2004 film.
However, this new iteration of the classic tale will shake things up.
“This is a fresh, new retelling of the classic story we all know and love,” Woods explained on Instagram.
“It is a story about what happens when two people that love each other choose each other over and over again, and what can happen through all the obstacles that life brings.”
And if you want to see them fall in love all over again, you can grab your tickets to see “The Notebook” on Broadway as soon as today.

Here’s a quick briefing on each performer:
John Cardoza (younger Noah Calhoun) made his Broadway debut in Alanis Morissette’s “Jagged Little Pill.” He received his BFA in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory of Music.
Jordan Tyson (younger Allison “Allie” Hamilton) is making her Broadway debut with “The Notebook.” You may also recognize her from Netflix’s “The Chair” and “Vampires Vs. The Bronx.”
Ryan Vasquez (middle Noah Calhoun) has appeared in “Hamilton,” “Waitress” and “Wicked.” He’s also popped up in “tick…tick…BOOM!,” “In The Heights” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
Joy Woods (middle Allison “Allie” Hamilton) previously starred in “SIX The Musical” on Broadway. For her role as Allie, Woods was the recipient of the Joseph Jefferson Award for Performer in a Supporting Role.
Dorian Harewood (older Noah Calhoun) knows his way around the stage. He’s been in a number of Broadway productions including “The Mighty Gents,” “Don’t Call Back” and “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Harewood has also done quite a bit of TV and film work. Notable projects include “Full Metal Jacket,” “Gothika” and “Bel-Air.”
Maryann Plunkett (older Allison “Allie” Hamilton) originated the role of Allie back in Chicago. Going further back on her impressive resume, you’ll find a Tony for her work in “Me and My Girl,” and roles in “Sunday In The Park With George” and “The Seagull” on Broadway. She’s also lent her talents to films “A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood,” “Little Women” and “Blue Valentine” among many others.
