The Australian Restaurants Hollywood Celebrities Love

There’s nothing quite as surreal as spotting your favourite Hollywood celebrity enjoying a croissant at your local bakery, or perhaps a long lunch at your favourite restaurant. 

For those of us in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s not the most typical occurrence, so when it does happen, we can’t help but take note.

From nightclubs to restaurants, we’ve compiled a list of every celebrity-loved location across Australia. Whether you’re looking to nab a selfie with Jacob Elordi while he films his next project in Sydney, or just keen to know which haunts have earned the A-list tick of approval, we’ve got you covered.

Mimis, Coogee

Kourtney Kardashian touched down in Sydney this week and headed straight to Coogee’s iconic waterfront restaurant, Mimis. Kourtney and her two children, Reign and Penelope, cut a casual figure for the lunchtime outing, in leggings and an oversized T-shirt.

She’s not the first A-lister to try out the upmarket location. Margot Robbie recently shouted 126 restaurant-goers a round of cocktails by her brand, Papa Salt Gin, while she was in Sydney.

Bills, Sydney

Another stop on Kourtney’s tour of Sydney, Bills has long been a celebrity favourite. Kourtney stopped by the Bondi location for a lunch of pasta, burger, and fries, again with her two young children in tow.

Back in 2012, Taylor Swift also gave Bills her tick of approval, when she visited Sydney to perform at the Aria awards. We sadly don’t know her exact order, but we bet she would’ve been a fan of the iconic ricotta hotcakes.

Cibi, Collingwood

Over in Melbourne, Harry Styles put Collingwood cafe Cibi on the map when he stopped by amid his 2023 ‘Love On Tour’ shows. The British singer sent fans into a frenzy when he was sighted at the Japanese cafe – so much so, that Cibi has now implemented a ‘no phones’ policy. Honestly, we can’t blame them. 

Florian Eatery, Collingwood

One suburb over, Australian heartthrob Jacob Elordi was spotted at cosy Carlton cafe, Florian Eatery. In April 2022, Broadsheet reported that the 26-year-old was seen “sipping coffee and demolishing a breakfast of soft-boiled eggs and bacon.” As he should!

Hope Street Radio, Collingwood 

Another trendy Melbourne location to make the list is Hope Street Radio. In the midst of Dua Lipa’s ‘Future Nostalgia’ tour, the singer was spotted with fellow artist and Melbourne local Troye Sivan sipping natural Spanish wine and enjoying a plate of their iconic focaccia, per the Herald Sun. 

Electric Bar, Prahran 

Want to party like Dua Lipa? All it takes is a night at Prahran’s Electric Bar, apparently. The singer was spotted hanging here on the last night of her Future Nostalgia tour, with ample evidence of the night posted to her social media.

Sydney Cricket Ground, Moore Park

Sydney Sweeney made headlines when she attended a Sydney Swans AFL game during her time in Australia while shooting Anyone But You.

Naturally, the players wanted a photo with the A-lister, and Sweeney was granted locker-room access. How does it feel to live our dream?!

Lune Croissanterie

If we were a celeb visiting Australia, we’d add Lune Croissanterie to our itinerary. Alison Brie and Dave braved the bakeries notoriously long lines for a perfect pastry, with Brie sharing a photo of an apricot danish to her Instagram account. 

In classic Nicholas Braun fashion, the actor went straight for the comments on Brie’s post, writing, “The line for Lune though 🙃.”
