Celebrities Who Are Fans of the San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers are headed to the Super Bowl!

And for the second time in four years, they’ll be facing off against the Kansas City Chiefs. Backing them will be hordes of devoted fans — including some major A-list celebrities.

From Julia Roberts to Jeremy Renner to Vice President Kamala Harris, check out some of the celebrity fans who are diehard San Francisco 49ers fans.

Marisa Miller

The 49ers fandom runs deep in Marisa Miller’s blood, as she revealed in 2013. “It was a great day yesterday with the @49ers! Here’s Gavin and I on the field,” she wrote alongside a cute pic of herself and her son .

“Gotta start young,” she continued. “He’s the 4th generation of 49er fan in the family.”

Jeremy Renner

Jeremy Renner’s love for the 49ers is so sincere, he refused to even consider rooting for another team in the event the Niners didn’t make it to the Super Bowl this year.

“! don’t have a plan B. There is no plan B. That means you’re planning to fail,” he told PEOPLE while on set for his Silk Super Bowl commercial. “It’s the same thing in my career. I never planned on doing anything else.”

The Avengers actor also plans to bring that “go big or go home” attitude to the Allegiant Stadium on Feb 11 — even if he has to turn right around and get back to work.

“Well, I’m going to be in Pittsburgh filming Mayor of Kingstown, but [the Super Bowl] is on the weekend, so when the Niners go… I’ll definitely have to go to that,” he told PEOPLE.

Scott Eastwood

Scott Eastwood had a boatload of fun celebrating the 49ers’ upcoming Miami-based matchup against the Chiefs back in 2020. Safe to say, the Pacific Rim Uprising actor will be showcasing those same dance moves for the teams’ rematch on Feb. 11.

Lindsey Vonn showed up dressed up to the *ahem* … nines, when she came to show some love during their Feb. 7 game against the L.A. Rams.

Huey Lewis‘ power of love for the 49ers is personal, as the singer/songwriter was actually good pals with the late 49ers wide receiver, Dwight Clark.

“He was a special guy,” Lewis said of his friend on NBC Bay Area. “He was handsome and talented…He was super smart and sensitive to people, you know? And a real people guy; a lover. A lover of people. And generous, sweet and a great listener. I mean, he was an exceptional guy, Dwight Clark.”

Like Jeremy Renner, the thought of the San Francisco 49ers not making it to this year’s Super Bowl wasn’t ever a consideration for Vice President Kamala Harris, who jokingly responded, “Oh, the 49ers are gonna win. Don’t worry about that, move on to the next question,” when asked about naming a backup team.

Julia Roberts

Even while working, Julia Roberts needs to know what’s going on with her beloved team — as she revealed while on The View.

“I’m such a football fanatic. This is something not a lot of people know,” she said. “But yesterday when I was still working and the 49ers were playing, I was like ‘Anybody got an update?’ And there was always a voice from somewhere that would tell me what was going on.”

Upon finding out that Roberts had never been to the Super Bowl, View host Whoopi Goldberg invited Roberts to go with her to the game in Vegas, promising it would be “great fun.”

Jon Pardi

Just like Scott Eastwood, country singer Jon Pardi was so elated that his team made it to the finals in 2020, he literally jumped on a chair in celebration.

The energy stayed the same as Pardi linked up with pals Tyler Rich and Nate Smith to once again celebrate the 49ers making it to the big game this year.

Matt Bomer

Matt Bomer is also keeping his 49ers fandom in the family. The Maestro actor took his son Kit to a game for a fun dad-son outing back in September.

E40

A Bay Area native, E40‘s love for his home team runs so deep, he made a song about it. Fans can not only stream “Niner Gang,” but they can see the full force of the rapper’s devotion on his Instagram, which is filled with pictures and videos of him at Niner games.

Bella Thorne

Much like her fellow compatriots, Bella Thorne is loyal to the San Francisco 49ers through thick and thin. “i know 49ers are losing…but i stick with a team through good and bad. don’t change an opinion based on popularity or pressure!!” she tweeted in 2014, as the team fell to the Seattle Seahawks and failed to reach the Super Bowl.

Los Tigres del Norte

The norteño group Los Tigres del Norte was in the stands to celebrate their hometown heroes taking the NFC championship against the Detroit Lions — and captured the excitement for the band’s Instagram page. “Jefes de Jefes!” they wrote on a video from the game.

Jamie Chung

Actress Jamie Chung is such a big 49ers fan, she agreed to rep her hometown for an NFL Apparel campaign a few years back. At the time, she talked about how she came to her enthusiasm for the team.

“I have so much hometown pride, it’s kind of great,” Chung told PEOPLE. “Back in 2012, I took my dad to the Super Bowl — and we lost, which was heartbreaking — but it was pretty monumental because my dad’s a die-hard Niners fan. As a Korean immigrant growing up in San Francisco during the Niners golden years … it was the one thing that he was able to relate to people with.”
