(Gray News) – Adam Harrison’s cause of death has been revealed this week.
People reports that “Pawn Stars” creator and star Rick Harrison’s son Adam Harrison died at 39 years old due to a fentanyl overdose.
According to the weekly magazine, Laura Herlovich, a Harrison family representative, confirmed the 39-year-old’s cause of death.
“Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss,” Herlovich said in a statement on behalf of the family last week that was picked up by multiple media outlets.
Rick Harrison shared a photo of the two online last Friday, writing, “You will always be in my heart. I love you Adam.”
Adam Harrison was the second child of Rick Harrison and his ex-wife, Kim, according to People. He was the younger brother of Corey Harrison, who stars in “Pawn Stars” with his father.
Corey Harrison, also paid tribute to his brother last week, sharing an old baby photo of the two of them in a bath.
The Harrison family has starred on “Pawn Stars” since it premiered on the History Channel in 2009.
Adam Harrison has not been featured in the series but reportedly worked at the family’s pawn store before the show’s debut.
Thousands of fans have sent their condolences to the family since hearing of Adam Harrison’s death.
