Hugh Hefner Secretly Filmed A-List Celebrities Having Sex at Playboy Mansion, Claims Widow Crystal

Crystal Hefner is revealing some intimate details about her late husband Hugh Hefner‘s past.

According to an excerpt of her memoir, Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself, Crystal — who was married to Hugh for nearly five years when he died in 2017 — claims he admitted to filming A-list celebrities having sex without their consent through “little spy holes” on his bed frame.

“When I asked him about them, he just shrugged,” she wrote, according to The New York Post.

“‘But what are they for?’ I asked. ‘I used to do a lot of filming,’ he said proudly. ‘VHS. I had hours of video, hundreds of sexy tapes,'” the excerpt read.

Crystal alleged that when she asked Hugh if those people knew they were being filmed, he responded, “It’s my bedroom. My house.”

Hugh allegedly told Crystal that he had taped “A-list celebrities” and had videos of “wild orgies, also with celebrities and politicians and business leaders, some of whom were married.”

“I think [the cameras] were out of commission by the time I got there, but there … were these carved wood panels. And one of the panels on the right had a circular cutout,” Crytal told The Post.

In an exclusive interview with The Messenger in December, Crystal opened up about the good, the bad and the ugly when it came to her life with Hugh.

“Hef’s not like a hero or a villain you know, he’s a very complex person,” Crystal told The Messenger while discussing her new podcast Beneath the Surface, which focuses on discussing a spectrum of topics with her circle of friends, ranging from relationships and mental health to gender rights.

When discussing the “dark side” of life in the mansion, sahe said “I feel in the book, it really comes across how complicated it was, you know, like showing all the love and then feeling controlled, and it’s just confusing.”

She continued that it might be hard for most people to understand what that life was like, though she has met people who feel connected to her experience. “I know the situation is very different than other situations,” Crystal continued. “But, you know, I’ve spoken to different women that I know and they can relate to being controlled or being in hard relationships. I hope by talking about it, I can help more people.”

Crystal also said she was expected to participate in orgies.

She noted that she went into these scenarios “not really knowing who I was. And I feel that when you don’t know who you are, it can get dictated to you.”

“I just conformed,” she said. “I was like the perfect person for Hef because I just went along with whatever he said. And I think that’s part of not knowing who you are, yourself. Once you kind of find your own voice, you don’t really tolerate a lot of that stuff.”
