Shannen Doherty has clear end-of-life plans.
On Monday’s episode of the “Charmed” alum’s “Let’s Be Clear” podcast, Doherty, who is currently battling stage IV breast cancer, spoke with her guest, her best friend and executor of her will, Chris Cortazzo, about death.
“This is such a morbid conversation, but it’s also so fun,” she admitted. “I want [my remains] to be mixed with my dog and I want it to be mixed with my dad. I do not want to be buried and not cremated.”
Doherty, 52, has not yet decided exactly where she wants her ashes to be spread, but likes the idea of using them to “grow them into a tree.”
She also wants to “find a place that my dad and I both really loved and, it meant a lot to us,” mentioning that they spent memorable times together in Malibu, California.
Elsewhere in the episode, the “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress blatantly explained that there are “a lot of people” that she doesn’t want to attend her funeral.
“There’s a lot of people that I think would show up that I don’t want there,” Doherty told Cortazzo, although she didn’t name any names.
“I don’t want them there because their reasons for showing up aren’t necessarily the best reasons,” she explained. “Like, they don’t really like me — and they have their reasons, and good for them — but they don’t actually really like me enough to show up to my funeral.”
“But they will,” she claimed, “because it’s the politically correct thing to do, and they don’t want to look bad.”
Doherty hoped her confession would “take the pressure off them,” adding that she envisions her end-of-life celebration as a “love fest.”
“I don’t want people to be crying or people to privately be like, ‘Thank God that b—h is dead now,’” she joked.
Earlier this month, Doherty revealed on her podcast that she’s hoping to “squeeze out another three to five years.”
