The highly anticipated return of hit ITV skating show Dancing On Ice returns on Sunday.
A number of big names including Coronation Street‘s Adam Thomas and Love Island’s Amber Davies have strapped on their skates in a hope to be crowned the new champion.
The pair are joined by S Club singer Hannah Spearritt, radio host and former Big Brother contestant Adele Roberts, actress and TV presenter Claire Sweeney, comedian Lou Sanders, Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire and ex EastEnders Ricky Norwood.
Boxer Ricky Hatton, Olympian Greg Rutherford, and Emmerdale actress Roxy Shahidi will also be skating on the ITV show.
But what do the star-studded contestants get for appearing on hit skating show?
Each celebrity will receive a fee for appearing on the ITV show alongside their professional skating partners.
During the nine-week series the stars are hoping to impress judges Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and the viewers to stay in the competition.
However, ITV have previously confirmed that there is no cash prize for the celebrity who wins Dancing On Ice.
But the skating star will receive a trophy to take home after being crowned the winner.
Holly Willoughby is set to make her big television return to present the new series alongside Deal or No Deal host Stephen Mulhern.
Stephen will replace Phillip Schofield, who left ITV last year after he admitted having an affair with a younger male former colleague on This Morning.
Holly also left hit daytime show This Morning back in October 2023 following 14 years on the sofa.
It comes as Eddie The Eagle Edwards could be the one to beat on this year’s Dancing On Ice as he is revealed to be a top contender ahead of the show launch date.
The British ski jumper, 59, who was placed last in the 1988 Winter Olympics, has hugely impressed in rehearsals alongside professional skater Vicky Ogden.
A show insider told The Sun: ‘Eddie is keen to downplay his chances but he is looking really good, and could be this year’s one to to beat’.
Eddie was brought in as a last minute replacement after Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb broke his ankle in the first week of rehearsals and had to withdraw from the competition.
Eddie, who’s real name is Michael Edwards, said he feels pressure to do well on the ITV show but insisted that his skiing experience has no use in the rink.
He explained: ‘When I ski, I automatically get myself into a certain stance. That stance is not a good stance for skating, which is why I feeling falling on my face.’
The Olympian was announced as a contestant on skating competition after Gogglebox star Stephen broke his ankle and was forced to withdraw.
The star had suffered a freak accident in training and would be on crutches for the next three months.
Dancing On Ice’s bad luck doesn’t end there as West End star Amber Davies, who is due to appear on the show, revealed she had torn a leg muscle earlier this month.
